Designer Betty Wasserman heavily invested in aesthetic texturing for her clients' Modern Farmhouse in the Hamptons where the Northwest Woods meet Three Mile Harbor. Referencing the light juxtaposed against double-height trees, expanse of sky over miles of bay and a bicycle ride from the Atlantic Ocean beaches meant allowing for a myriad of textiles in a symphony of neutrals to arrive at a cohesive composition that represents all the natural elements in the home's environment. For the custom designed dining table, Wasserman commissioned a seven-foot long Upstream fixture in the Silver Lining version of Helen Gifford's signature Urchin series as a welcoming beacon of linear light viewable from the long rolling entry.
