Brentwood

Hagy Belzberg, architect, is fearless when it comes to tweaking the tenets of modern design. MLK Studio principal Meg Joannides took charge of furnishings and focused on the house's toughest space:

The 900-square-foot living room with 16' ceilings installed Helen Gifford's lighting fixtures to allow a culmination of high drama in an organic setting.

The result was a sweeping and soaring levity for the room that complemented the natural views and vibrant art.
